Amici Val Ceno Galles presents our first Calcio Classics event. Spearheaded by Paul Cavalli, the event’s goal is to bring football fans together to relive footballs most memorable nights, starting with a World Cup classic from 2006.
Join us at Shappelles Dance Centre, Ystrad Mynach, as we relive one of the most dramatic matches in Italian football history.
On 4 July 2006, Italy faced hosts Germany in a World Cup semi-final that would become an all-time classic. With a place in the World Cup Final at stake, neither side could find a breakthrough in normal time, and the deadlocked match was forced into extra time in front of a packed Dortmund crowd.
Watch the full match on the big screen and experience every moment of the tension that made this encounter so memorable. The winner would go on to reach the World Cup Final and ultimately lift the trophy.
Alongside the football, there’ll be plenty of time to catch up with friends and fellow supporters over a buffet included with your ticket. A bar will be available throughout the evening, and we’ll round off the night in true AVC style with a raffle and great prizes to be won.
