Many guests again enjoyed a first class evening at the Cardiff Hilton in May.
The Fantini Band supplied good dancing music, and the Hilton staff excelled themselves, serving an excellent buffet professionally and on time.
This year the hotel managed to enlarge the dance floor, which enabled the ‘real’ dancers among us to excel somewhat!
Earlier in the year the Italian Rugby Team had been guests at the Hilton , and left a Rugby shirt, signed by all the team members, for the hotel to use as they wished.
The manager Steve Phillips, with their permission, donated the shirt to the Amici Val Ceno Galles evening.
During the evening we auctioned the shirt, which was bought by Wendy Fulgoni of Abergavenny as a gift for her husbands birthday.
Thanks, Wendy, the cash raised all goes to charities… Although we had to change the date of this event rather late in the day, you still managed to support us well – to all the guests, thanks for coming, we enjoyed your company.
