The Italian Head of State President Ciampi visited London and held a reception at the Queen Elisabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster. At the reception were representatives from Wales and the Amici Val Ceno Galles.
After a speech emphasizing the importance of immigrants to both their native and adopted countries, and the need for strong links between the two, within the European Union, the president met the guests during a buffet at the Centre.
