It feels like forever since we held our Gara di Briscola, so 23rd April 2023 will see the event return. Get your cards out and start practicing as we think the long hiatus will make this years event will be extra competitive. As with every AVC event, there is no need to have attended previous events to join us now, and all profits from the evening will be donated to charity.

THE PLAN
Our Briscola event will last for four hours and is open to all ages and abilities. There is a bar at Whitchurch Rugby Sports and Social Club where drinks and snacks such as crisps and nuts can be purchased for the tournament.
The main tournament will take place for our more confident participants, establishing the 2023 champion. As we said, we think this year may be quite competitive!
While that takes place, we will have persons on hand to help teach the game of Briscola to those who are less familiar with it. So, fear not if you do not know Briscola, come join us on the 23rd to learn all about what some consider to be the best card game there is.
THE RESULT
Thank you to everyone who came to the Gara di Briscola, we hope you had a fun filled evening. It was great to see all ages, and faces old and new – some who had never played the game before Sunday. We’d like to offer huge congratulations to our 2023 Champions; Paul and Caterina!
